WATERBURY– Bethann Forino age 57 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of Saint Mary’s Hospital after an extended illness. She was the loving wife of Vincent “Jimmy” Forino.

Bathann was born December 13, 1959 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Robert and Marguerite M. (Stack) Mastropietro. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and received her Associates Degree from Mattatuck Community College. She spent many years working as the Food Service Director at the former Cedar Lane Health Care Center and also worked at Stop & Shop on Reidville Dr. Bethann enjoyed cooking, gardening, crafts and spending family vacations in Bay View and Old Saybrook. She was also an avid Bruce Springstein and a UCONN Women’s Huskies Basketball Fan.

Besides her husband, Jimmy, Bethann is survived by her daughter, Melissa Mastrofrancesco of Smyrna GA, her son, Jeffery and his two daughters, her brothers, Robert F. Mastropietro of Danbury and James Mastropierto of North Wales PA. and her sisters, Sharon M. Mastrofrancesco of Watertown, and Susan E. Gomatos of Boxford, MA.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Forino will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. at SS Peter & Paul Church 167 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Rites of Committal will be held privately, at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery.. Relatives and friends may visit with Mrs. Forino’s family on Tuesday evening at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. To honor Bethann’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice at 199 Park Road Extension #102, Middlebury, CT 06762.
