Devoted wife, mother and grandmother

WATERBURY – Carol (Kasidas) O’Rourke, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the devoted wife of Patrick J. (Bob) O’Rourke for 62 wonderful years.

She was a parishioner of SS Peter and Paul Church and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Left to cherish her memory and honor Carol’s love and legacy are her daughters, Susan Galpin of Oakville and Beverly Hulten and her husband, Scott of Bristol and her sons, Neil O’Rourke and his wife, Donna of Oakville, Robert and his wife, Pauline of Naugatuck. She also leaves her brother, Edmund Kasidas and her sister, Jacqueline Girardey. From Florida, my condolences to the Kasidas and the O'Rourke families on the loss of Carol. Living next door to the now O'Rourke estate on Gates brought our families close together. Carol was always a fun person to be around, especially when it came to our families on Christmas Eve and the annual Easter egg throw. Good times gone. Always kept you laughing. She was also helpful to my Mom in her later years. Just an angel.
To Bob, Susan, Beverly, Neil, Robert, "Eddie" and "Jackie", my deepest sympathy.

Our sincerest sympathies to you all. We will miss Carol so very much. No longer will we hear her laughter from across the street or her calling for Bob because as she would say "he can't hear a thing!"
