WATERBURY - Mr. Paul Traynor - age 82, was reunited with his loving wife, Marylene (his hunny) on Monday, August 26, 2019 in the comfort of his home after a long illness. He died exactly how he lived ……. surrounded by love and on his own terms.

Paul was born July 10, 1937 in Augusta, Maine, the son of the late Earl and Laura Traynor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Seaman on the USS Salem, CA-139 from 1957-1959. He served in Internal Intelligence on the Salem during the Lebanon Crisis in 1958. After his discharge, he worked as a machinist for many years, spending the majority of the time at Fenn Manufacturing. In retirement, he worked at the Pierpont Package Store for and with his friend, Ken.

Paul enjoyed singing opera, playing golf, and most importantly cooking for his family. While he could easily be described as hardworking, faithful, and humble, those who knew him remember him most for his humor, his charm, and his ability to make everyone around him smile.

A devoted husband, dedicated father, and doting grandfather, Paul is survived by his children; Scott Traynor, and his wife, Jennifer of Indianapolis, IN, Ross Traynor, and his wife, Liz of Waterbury, Blane Traynor and his wife, Virginia of Waterbury; his brother, Ronald Traynor and his sister, Judy Couture; and his grandchildren; Nicole and Renee Traynor, Megan Barjon, Jeremy Brown, Tabitha Stanberry, in addition to his eight great grandchildren and several grand-dogs. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Marylene (Lee) Traynor, and his daughter, Janice Traynor.

Paul's family would like to thank the aides and caregivers who helped him live comfortably at home these last few years.
