WATERBURY CT – Victoria Christine Menotti, age 81, of Waterbury, CT, passed away on April, 11, 2020.

Victoria was born on August 9, 1938 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Alexander Anthony and Mary Pauline Ricciuti Menotti. Victoria was a devout member of the Sacred Heart and St. Anne Roman Catholic Church communities for many years, including as a singer and organist. She was a teacher at Tyrrell Elementary School in Wolcott, CT for several years. While Vicki’s family and extensive circle of friends enjoyed her gifts of song, organ-playing, and lovingly, hand-crafted quilted pieces, their lives have been enriched most by her good humor, supportive companionship, and love.

Victoria is survived by her brother, Francis Raphael Menotti and his wife, Ann Elizbeth, nephews Francis Joseph and Stephen James, and niece, Theresa Ann, and her extended family, whom she loved very much. Victoria is now reunited with her mother and father, her grandmother and grandfather, Vittoria Superczindski and Francesco Menotti, her Aunt Josephine Menotti, Aunt and Uncle Carolina and Joseph Muccino, her nephew, Baby Alexander Joseph, and many other close family members and friends. May her soul rest in peace.

Due to the current COVID-19 guidelines and associated governmental restrictions regarding the pandemic, in-person service participation will be highly restricted, and remote participation through online streaming is encouraged. A live stream of the cemetery interment services will be available on our Facebook page at on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 2:55 p.m.
Once the restrictions are lifted, a community Memorial Service will be announced. To honor Victoria’s memory, donations may be made to: COVID-19 Response Fund or All Saints Parish Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home has been honored to assist the Menotti family during this difficult time. My deepest condolences to the family . Vicky was a dear friend to me and godmother to my daughter Jeanine . We lost touch when I left Waterbury 25 years ago and reconnected when I returned in 2018. We were planning to have a " reunion/get together" sometime this Spring. I have many fond memories of when I was a choir member of the Sacred Heart Church and she was the music director/organist. May God Bless her family and friends with strength and comfort . She will be missed by many.
Love, Margo Fugate, MD

When Vicki retired from teaching she said she would devote her life to the Church. She did as she promised and we are better for it.

Rest In Peace, Vicki. I’ll always cherish my memories of doing TV Masses with you, serving with you on the board of the American Guild of Organists, and of course being your ride to our chapter events. You had a beautiful voice, a great sense of humor, and I always loved your stories and memories about Waterbury “way back when” and seeing what musicians we knew mutually. I’ll miss our regular breakfasts and lunches with Maria. This photo is from the last TV Mass we did together in February 2020.

The past few years we cousins got together for lunch and enjoyed each other's company. Vicki filled us in on Menotti history for which we are grateful! We will miss her cheerful presence.

The St. Ann's choir loft will seem empty without Vicki singing or playing the organ. May God's love give you comfort.
